I’m not a fan of writing these things, but I assume you’d like to know a little about the guy behind the camera.

Here are ten things to know:

1. My name is Richard.
2. This is the first photo of me I’ve liked in such a long time that I recently changed my Facebook profile photo for the first time in eight years.
3. Please don’t tell her, but I really like the photographer who took it, which is probably why I look so relaxed. Actually, you can tell her. It’s about time she knew. After all, we’ve been married for nearly ten years.
4. I’ve been photographing professionally since 2008, and to this day, I still get a thrill from photographing people. Whether they’re getting married or just wanting a photograph of themselves or their families, I love taking beautiful pictures and showing people how the rest of the world sees them, and maybe not how they see themselves.
5. I especially love the connection between the subject (you) and the photographer (me) in a fantastic portrait photograph.
6. If you want your wedding photographed, I have photographed couples since my first in 2008, and I still love the process more than anyone should.
7. If you want portraits taken of yourself (and/or your family), I love to connect with people and take photographs that make people maybe love themselves a little more.
8. If you want the excitement of your birthday, engagement or other event captured … you guessed it. I can do that.
9. If you want me to photograph your business’ products, staff, or services, I do that with equal enthusiasm.
10. If you have a bizarre idea for a photoshoot that you think could never happen, I am very much your guy for that.
